JOB DESCRIPTION: The Texas Rangers are looking for a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer for their Rookie Level – Arizona Complex League Affiliate.  The applicant would report as part of the Texas Rangers Medical Staff in Spring Training and would assist in the care during Minor League Spring Training/Extended Spring Training Programs and oversee the Arizona Complex League Affiliate in Surprise, AZ.  

The position responsibilities include the 6 domains of athletic training – injury prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, organization and administration, and professional responsibility and other requirements as deemed appropriate by the Director of Minor League Medical Operations and the Assistant Medical Coordinator.  The applicant must have effective communication skills and the ability to add to a multidiscipline approach through interprofessional collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS:           

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from an CAATE Program (Or comparable equivalent based on date of graduation)
  • Currently Certified and in Good Standing with the Board of Certification
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Previous Baseball Experience preferred, but not required
