PBATS President Mark O’Neal today announced the winners of the 2017 PBATS Baseball Medicine Conference scholarship program.
Through the scholarship program, PBATS has awarded nine athletic training students with a Dr. Lewis A. Yocum Baseball Medicine Conference Scholarship, which will be used to directly pay for the conference registration fee, a total cost of $450.
The conference is endorsed by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers’ Society, Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association and National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and is supported by Major League Baseball. With the endorsement of the conference, PBATS aims to continue with the commitment to provide the athletic training community and athletic training students with the latest information with regard to baseball injuries and prevention.

The winners were chosen through a random drawing that took place at the 2016 MLB winter meetings in Washington, D.C. PBATS is thrilled to award the qualified applicants with a chance to attend the Baseball Medicine Conference this year in Phoenix, Ariz.
