The PBATS PLAY Campaign made three stops across the country last week, bringing its message of health, wellness, and drug awareness to young people in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Arlington as part of its 2026 season schedule.

July 7 — Los Angeles Dodgers, Dodger Stadium

The campaign kicked off the week in Los Angeles with a great event in LA. Head Athletic Trainer Thomas Albert, along with assistants Greg Barajas and Yosuke Nakajima, welcomed approximately 100 local kids from the Boys and Girls Club to Dodger Stadium for a day they won’t soon forget.

Ed Ternan from Song for Charlie and Don Hooton from the Taylor Hooton Foundation were on hand to deliver their powerful messages about the dangers of fentanyl and performance enhancing substances directly to the next generation.

The event also featured a surprise visit from Dodgers pitcher Emmett Sheehan, who spent time with the kids for a Q&A toward the end of the event.

July 8 — St. Louis Cardinals, Busch Stadium

The campaign traveled to Busch Stadium where Head Athletic Trainer Adam Olsen and assistants Chris Conroy, Keith Joynt, and Dan Martin hosted a PLAY event with young people from the St. Louis area. Don Hooton from the Taylor Hooton Foundation and Jeremy Bradford from Song for Charlie were present to share their messages with the group.

While rain ultimately cut the event short before the Cardinals game, the kids still had the opportunity to hear directly from the campaign’s partner organizations about making healthy choices and understanding the real dangers of drug use. The PBATS athletic training staff made sure the abbreviated day still delivered on what matters most.

July 10 — Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field

The week closed in Arlington at Globe Life Field, where Rangers assistants Sean Fields and Jacob Newburn hosted the campaign’s third event in four days. Rangers pitcher Cody Bradford spent the day on the field with the kids, giving the group an up close look at life as a professional baseball player while reinforcing the messages the campaign works to deliver all summer long.

Ed Ternan from Song for Charlie and Don Hooton from the Taylor Hooton Foundation were once again on hand, continuing what has been a remarkable stretch of events for the campaign’s partner organizations this summer.

A Strong Week for the Campaign

Three cities, three MLB stadiums, and hundreds of young people reached in a single week. None of it would be possible without the generous and continued support of Henry Schein Cares, whose commitment to the PLAY Campaign has been instrumental in allowing PBATS to bring these events to communities across the country year after year. The athletic training staffs of the Dodgers, Cardinals, and Rangers all played a central role in making each stop possible, and with more events ahead on the 2026 schedule, the campaign shows no signs of slowing down.
