Summary:
The New York Mets are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for the 2025 Season. The Certified Athletic Trainer will operate out of the Mets Dominican Republic Academy in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. The position requires presence at offseason DR camps, DR spring training, and Dominican Summer League season. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based assessments, management, and rehabilitation plans for injuries and illnesses
- Working as part of a coordinated performance department to implement organizational and individual programs
- Daily game and work out coverage including pre/post game treatments and field set up
- Analyze objective monitoring data to make decisions about individualized evaluation and interventions
- Maintain proper medical records in accordance with organizational and MLB minimum standards within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Inventory management of both medical supplies and rehabilitation equipment
Position Details:
- This position will be a salary position
- Expected start date of February 1, 2025 (start date can be flexible)
- Must be able to work unconventional hours (Ex. weekends, evening game coverage, etc.)
Position Requirements:
- Current ATC Licensure and CPR/AED certification required
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Desirable Position Requirements:
- NATA-BOC Certified and in good standing
- Eligible for FL state licensure
- Previous baseball experience preferred, but not required
