Game-Changing Concepts Baseball Sports Medicine Scholarship

PBATS is now accepting applications for the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education’s 9th Annual Baseball Sports Medicine: Game-Changing Concepts course, to be held December 5-6, 2024, at MLB’s Office of the Commissioner of Baseball in New York City.

PBATS will be awarding selected athletic training students with a Game-Changing Concepts Course Scholarship, which will cover the course registration fee.

Students will be responsible for their own hotel and transportation costs. PBATS will pay the registration fee directly to FORE.

About the 9th Annual Game-Changing Concepts Baseball Sports Medicine Conference

The Baseball Sports Medicine conference is a must-attend course for anyone who treats baseball players, whether at the professional, collegiate, or youth level. Certain to be one of the most popular sports medicine conferences FORE will be hosting in 2024, this course covers many key aspects of baseball sports medicine, including: injury trends, prevention strategies, examination procedures, rehab protocols and more.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Students enrolled in a Professional Program, Post-Professional Degree Program, or Post-Professional Residency Program, or their equivalent, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training are eligible to apply. All applicants will be treated the same regardless of their gender, race, religion, national origin or sexual orientation. All applicants must be able to speak and write in English. Members of PBATS and their immediate families are ineligible for the scholarships.

Deadlines

The application process is currently closed as of October 1, 2024. All applicants will be notified about the winners by November 1, 2024.
