Jose Alvarez
Jose Alvarez was previously the Minor League Medical Coordinator and spent the previous 4 years as the Latin America Medical Coordinator for the Miami Marlins. Spent a year as the MiLB Assistant Rehab Coordinator for the St. Louis Cardinals. Previously, Jose joined the Chicago Cubs and served in the Latin America Medical Coordinator role. He obtained an internship through the PBATS internship program with the Boston Red Sox with the DSL and Short Season teams. Has spent 12 seasons working winter ball in Mexico, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic including the past three years with the back to back champions Tigres del Licey. Prior to starting in pro ball, held an internship in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the 2012 Champion, Wareham Gatemen. Jose earned his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and his master’s degree from Bridgewater State University. He is from Phoenix, AZ and resides in the Dominican with his wife Genesis, and children Nomar, Phoenix, & Neymar.
