Job Description:

The Tampa Bay Rays have one (1), full-time, minor league Athletic Trainer position immediately available for their Dominican Academy located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.  This position is a 12-month contract including full benefits and CEU opportunities.   Responsibilities will include coverage at the Tampa Bay Rays Dominican Academy from approximately February 1 through the conclusion of the Dominican Summer League season in late August/Early September, as well as during Instructional League running from approximately October 1 through December 1. Position will require daily interaction with team Physician(s), Minor League Latin American Medical Coordinator, in addition to staff/front office interaction, and player care responsibilities.  Additional off-season coverage may be required as needed.  Duties include but are not limited to the prevention and care of injuries, coordinating & facilitating physician appointments, proper medical record keeping within EMR system, reporting procedures and various administrative duties as assigned. A vehicle as well as an apartment will be provided at a cost covered by the Tampa Bay Rays.


  • NATA-BOC Certified in good standing
  • Eligible for FL state licensure
  • CPR/AED certification required
  • Previous baseball experience preferred, but not required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training or related field
