The Tampa Bay Rays have one (1), full-time, minor league Athletic Trainer position immediately available for their Rookie Level- Gulf Coast League affiliate. This position is a 12-month contract including full benefits and CEU opportunities. Position will require daily interaction with team Physician(s), Minor League Medical Coordinator, in addition to staff/front office interaction and player care responsibilities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, Spring Training & Extended Spring Training as well as the Gulf Coast League coverage, in Port Charlotte, FL. Additional off-season coverage may be required as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to: the prevention and care of injuries, coordinating & facilitating physician appointments, proper medical record keeping within EMR system, reporting procedures and various administrative duties as assigned. Reporting date would begin Spring Training 2018 through completion of the regular season.
- NATA-BOC Certified in good standing
- Eligible for FL state licensure
- CPR/AED certification required
- Previous baseball experience preferred, but not a required
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training or related field
