Job Description:

The Tampa Bay Rays have one (1), full-time temporary, minor league Athletic Trainer intern position available for the 2019 season.  This position will primarily assist the Minor League Rehab Coordinator as well as the Gulf Coast athletic trainer with daily responsibilities.  The position will require daily interaction with team Physician(s), Minor League Medical Coordinator; in addition to staff/front office interaction and player care responsibilities.  Duties include, but are not limited to: the prevention and care of injuries, coordinating and facilitating physician appointments, proper medical record keeping within EMR system, reporting procedures, and various administrative duties as assigned.  Reporting date would begin Spring Training 2019 through completion of the regular season.  A monthly stipend will be provided in addition to housing accommodations for the duration of the season.

Qualifications:

NATA-BOC Certified

Eligible for Florida state licensure

CPR/AED certification required

Previous baseball experience preferred, but not required

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training or related field
