JOB DESCRIPTION: The Philadelphia Phillies are accepting applications for an Assistant Minor League Rehabilitation Coordinator. This is a 12 month position which requires relocation to Clearwater, FL to provide year round medical coverage for Phillies minor league baseball players at the Clearwater Complex. Duties include assisting in development and implementation of rehabilitation programs for minor league players, record keeping of all medical care, assisting in return to play decision making for injured minor league players, assisting Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator with tasks as assigned, and organizing staff and player physicals in spring training and after MLB draft.
Applicant should have strong communication skills to interact with Minor League Athletic Training/Rehabilitation Coordinator, major league athletic training staff, fellow athletic trainers, team doctors, managers and coaches, front office personnel and strength and conditioning staff. Hired persons will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner per sports medicine staff policy and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of Master’s Degree in physical therapy, athletic training or other allied health profession, NATA BOC Certified, eligible for licensure in the states of Florida and Pennsylvania, CPR/AED certified, Physical therapy license preferred, CSCS preferred, proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps, Bilingual preferred, 3 years sports medicine experience preferred.
