Summary: The Minor League Rehab Coordinator is a Licensed Physical Therapist responsible for all aspects of the post-injury and post-surgery rehabilitation for Major and Minor league players assigned to our West Palm Beach complex. Also involved in creating and implementing maintenance programs and return-to-play progressions for all players and staff. The position may require travel as it pertains to rehab needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly reports to Medical Coordinator and Director of Player Development
  • Evaluate and treatment athletic injuries and general medical conditions
  • Coordinate doctor visits, special testing appointments and off-site therapy if needed
  • Injury documentation – Needs to be familiar with MLB EMR
  • Athletic Training Room coverage
  • Collaborate with the athletic trainers and performance staff to optimize player recovery
  • Assist with rehab / medical supply ordering and inventory control
  • Update athletic trainers, strength coaches, doctors and front office regarding player status
  • Establish continuing educational program for ATC’s and Strength and Conditioning staff
  • Assist with Medical Risk Assessments
  • Off-season follow ups which may include travel
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
  • NATA Certification (ATC)
  • State Certification where applicable
  • CPR and AED certified
  • Relocation to West Palm Beach, FL
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in sports medicine with professional athletes
  • Previous baseball experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:

  • Bilingual preferred (English / Spanish)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude with dedication to the care of players and staff
  • Availability to work long daily hours and weekends

Physical/Environmental Requirements: Job requires employee to function in a high activity outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employees will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to throw/catch, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
