JOB DESCRIPTION: The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club is accepting applications for a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer for the Minor League System. The position is for our Dominican Academy, Dominican Summer League, in Boca Chica, DR.   Full benefit plan provided along with CEU opportunities. Responsibilities include covering season, Camps and activities during January/November in Boca Chica, DR. With the possibility of Spring Training and additional camps such as Instructional League in September/October. Total time in the DR is approximately 9 months of the year from January/November with time off throughout the year pending schedule. Duties include, but are not limited to, the prevention and care of injuries for our athletes, coordinating & facilitating physician appointments, proper medical record keeping within EMR system, reporting procedures and various administrative duties as assigned. Position will require daily interaction with team Physician(s), Minor League Latin American Medical Coordinator, staff/front office and players. Work hours vary according to game schedule. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours if needed. The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club will be responsible for transportation to and from the Dominican Republic. Applicant must have valid passport required for travel outside the United States and/or Visa. Housing and meals provided by the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club Dominican Republic Academy.

QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for an energetic & hard-working individual who is able to communicate effectively with the players, medical team, and baseball operations. The individual will work directly under the guidance of the Latin American Coordinator, Minor League Athletic Training Coordinator and Medical Director. Applicants must be NATABOC Certified and in good standing with the NATA. Preferable if applicants have had prior baseball experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is recommended.
