JOB DESCRIPTION: The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club is accepting applications for a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer for the Minor League System. The level of this position is TBD. Full benefits plan will be provided along with CEU opportunities. Responsibilities include Spring Training in Ft. Myers, FL, season position at determined site and additional camps such as Instructional League in September/October. Duties include, player care including any short-term rehabs directed by the Director of Minor League Medical Services. All home and away game coverage and assist with all MD appointments as needed. Responsible for proper documentation of EMR along with any MLB documentation including but not limited to COVID and Drug policy and procedures. Assist in the organization and maintenance of the athletic training room, travel trunk(s), inventory, and field setup. Other tasks as directed and outlined by the Director of Minor League Medical Services.
QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for an energetic & hard-working individual who has interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including players, High Performance Team members, coaching staff, and front office. Someone well versed in evidence-based practice in athletic training. Proficient in injury assessment, treatment and preventative care specific to baseball sports medicine. Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word, spreadsheet, database, and presentation (Microsoft, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). The individual will work directly under the guidance of the Head Athletic Trainer, Director of Minor League Medical Services and Medical Director. Applicants must be NATABOC Certified and in good standing with the NATA. Masters in AT Preferred, others considered. Eligible for state licensure. Previous baseball experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
