Job Description: The Lincoln Saltdogs, with the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center, are seeking candidates for a full time Certified Athletic Trainer. The Certified Athletic Trainer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, coverage of both home and away games , daily practice coverage, daily treatments, injury prevention and care, rehabilitation of injuries and maintain medical records throughout the season. The ATC will report directly to the team physicians and Sports Medicine Director of the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center , as well as have open daily communication with staff of the Lincoln Saltdogs. This is a full time salaried position hired through the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center. The ATC will serve as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Saltdogs baseball team during the season as their only responsibility. Off season the ATC will be responsible to occasionally cover some outreach events, games and practices through the LOC Sports Medicine Program.
Qualifications: NATA BOC Certification is required of all candidates. Masters preferred and/or previous experience as ATC working with professional or college baseball. Must have eligibility for Licensure in Nebraska. Applicants are expected to fulfill the duration of the season and work in the outreach program off season. Must have willingness and ability to travel frequently for extended stay. CPR/AED certification in good standing. Would like to hire and locate ATC prior to the season which begins May 1st, 2019. Season ends mid-August.
