  • Major League Head Athletic Trainer

Department:

Status:

  • Contracted – Seasonal

Primary Objective:

  • Responsible for providing soft tissue mobilization techniques to Major League Players, in collaboration with the plans of a Multi-Disciplinary Performance Team.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide skilled massage and manual therapy techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with Performance Team on current treatment plans and any changes to condition.
  • Document all soft tissue mobilization techniques performed.
  • Able to physically perform an average of 3-4 hours of massage and soft tissue mobilization techniques daily, home and away.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Director of Performance and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach on Visiting Clubhouse Meal Logistics.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level education in massage, manual therapy, or related field required.
  • Certification and Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in any applicable professional certifications required.
  • Advanced Manual Techniques Experience and Certifications preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in a Sports Massage Setting preferred.
  • Education in Nutrition-related field preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
