- Roger Caplinger, 39, enters his fifth year as head athletic trainer for the Brewers' parent club after four years as assistant athletic trainer and eight years in the organization's farm system. After earning an undergraduate degree in physical education/athletic training from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colo., Caplinger joined Milwaukee's Rookie league team in Peoria, Ariz., in 1990. The Wheat Ridge, Colo. native worked his way up through the Brewers' athletic training ranks, working with affiliates in Helena, Mont., in 1991 and 1993, and Chandler, Ariz., in 1994. From 1995 through 1999, Caplinger served as coordinator of Minor League athletic training, strength and conditioning. Caplinger was coordinator of athletic training for Major League Baseball's Arizona Fall League from 1996 through 2000 and was recognized along with head athletic trainer John Adam with the 2001 "MLB Athletic Training Staff of the Year Award." He was honored to serve as the National League athletic trainer for the 2002 Major League All- Star game. He also serves on the PBATS Executive Board as the National League Athletic Trainer representative. Caplinger is a member of the NATA, AzATA and is a licensed athletic trainer in Arizona and Wisconsin. A golf enthusiast, Caplinger resides in Milwaukee, and has a daughter Gabrielle, and son Ryan.

- Roseburg, Ore. native Dan Wright, 48, began his career as a Minor League athletic trainer with the Kansas City Royals from 1985 to 1989 and in 1990 was named assistant athletic trainer for the Cincinnati Reds. As Larry Starr’s assistant, he was part of the 1991 MLB "Training Staff of the Year" awarded by PBATS and as well as part of the Brewers medical staff that received the 2005 Dick Martin Award. From 1992 to 1994 Wright served as the head athletic trainer for the San Francisco Giants Minor League department. He also represented the Giants as an athletic trainer for the 1993 Fall League. In 1996 Wright co-founded Fit Life Health Systems, an athletic trainer-owned conditioning and sports medicine clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. An active member of the Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association, he has served on the board of directors, various committees and has guest lectured at many state meetings. In 2000, Wright was named "Arizona Athletic Trainer of the Year" by AZTA and also was appointed by Governor Jane Hull to sit on the Arizona Board of Athletic Training Licensure. A certified member of the NATA, Wright also is certified by the NSCA as a strength and conditioning specialist. As a recreational runner Wright completed his first marathon in 2008 and his hobbies include family time, hiking, fishing, and scuba diving. Wright lives in Tempe, AZ, and has two wonderful children in daughter Emma and son Robbie.
