- George Poulis, 45, begins his seventh year as head athletic trainer with the Blue Jays’ Major League Club after serving as the assistant athletic trainer for three and a half years. Prior to the Blue Jays, he was an athletic trainer in the San Diego Padres’ Minor League system for 10 years. Poulis got his first experience with professional sports in 1986 as an athletic training intern for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns Football Club. A Cleveland native, Poulis earned his undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and earned his master’s degree from the University of Alabama. He worked his way up through the Padres’ Minor League system with stops in Waterloo, Iowa (Class A); Wichita, Kan.; Memphis, Tenn.; Mobile, Ala. (Class AA); and Las Vegas (Class AAA). At the conclusion of the 1998 Minor League season, Poulis assisted the San Diego Padres’ during the playoffs and World Series. During the off-season, Poulis and his wife, Jenny, live in Florida with their three daughters, Lainey, Evy, and Nicki.

- Mike Frostad, 37, enters his fifteenth year with the Toronto Blue Jays and first year as the assistant athletic trainer. A Calgary native, Frostad earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary and is certified by the NATA. He worked his way up through the Blue Jays system, working in St. Catharines, Ont (Short A), Medicine Hat, Alberta (Rookie), Hagerstown, MD (Class A), and Dunedin, FL (Class A). Frostad has spent the last 5 years as the Minor League Medical Coordinator for the Blue Jays. In 2004 and 2005, he won the Athletic Trainer of the Year Award for the Florida State League. In 2005, he was also the recipient of the Minor League Athletic Trainer of the Year Award. During the off-season, Frostad resides in Florida.
