Mark joined the club in 2004 as head athletic trainer and was promoted to his current role in October of 2007 … spent the previous 15 seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals’ organization.
© Joined the Cardinals major league staff in 1998 as the medical and rehabilitation coordinator and was promoted to assistant athletic trainer in 2003.
*Oversaw the rehabilitation of all injured players with the big league club.
*En route to the majors, he made stops in the Cardinals’ farm system at Savannah (A), Arkansas (AA) and Louisville (AAA).
*Also worked as a trainer at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and in the Arizona Fall League.

- Ed Halbur

- Position: Assistant Athletic Trainer
- College Attended: U of Nevada, Las Vegas, U. of Nebraska, Omaha(B.S.), (M.A.)
- Years in MLB: 6
- Ed Halbur, 37, will be in his sixth season in the Major Leagues. Ed was the Head Athletic Trainer for AAA Iowa (2003-2004). Prior to that, he was the Head Athletic Trainer for AA Erie (2001-2002) and Oneonta (1999-2000) in the Detroit Tigers Minor League System. In 2001 he served as the athletic trainer for the Escohido Leones in the Dominican Winter League. Halbur, a graduate of UNLV, also spent two and a half years as a Graduate Assistant at Creighton University covering baseball and men’s soccer. While at Creighton he served as a host athletic trainer for the College World Series. Halbur is a Certified Member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. Ed, his wife Sara, and daughter Addison currently reside in Des Moines, IA.
