Rick McWane, 45, is entering his sixth year as head athletic trainer for the Minnesota Twins after spending the previous three as assistant athletic trainer. He earned an undergraduate degree in health education and sports medicine from Liberty University in 1987. McWane, a 15-year veteran of the Minor Leagues, spent 13 years with the Twins organization after two years with the Little Falls Mets of the New York Mets organization. He advanced through the Twins’ system with teams in Visalia, CA; Orlando, FL; Nashville, TN; New Britian, CT; Salt Lake City, UT and Edmonton, Alb. Canada. Rick also worked in MLB’s Arizona Fall League in 1995 for the Peoria Javelinas. A certified member of the NATA, McWane has been honored several times throughout his athletic training career, including 1992’s Southern League Trainer of the Year award, an appointment as the American League trainer for the 1996 AAA All-Star Game, and 2001’s Athletic Trainer of the Year for the Pacific Coast League award. McWane, a native of Lynchburg, VA, now lives in Woodbury, MN, with his wife Annette and son Derrick. Rick also has a daughter, Amanda. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Dave Pruemer

Dave Pruemer, 39 is entering his 6th season in the Major Leagues as Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Minnesota Twins. He began his career in baseball as an intern with the Pittsburgh Pirates Gulf Coast League Team in 1993. He then became the trainer for the Minnesota Twins Appalachian League team in 1994 and has moved up the Twins Farm System in the past 10 years. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Minnesota Twins in 2004. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Tina, and their 3 children, daughter Hannah, and sons Dylan and Tyler. The Pruemer family resides in Woodbury, MN.
