- Dave Groeschner begins his second season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Giants and 12th season overall. Groeschner has spent two seasons as the Giants assistant athletic trainer in his second stint with the Giants, after having spent the 2004 season as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Chicago Cubs. Groeschner served in a dual role as Assistant Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Trainer for the Giants from 2000 through 2003. He has also served as a Minor League Athletic Trainer and Minor League Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Giants Organization. He served as Athletic Trainer for the Fresno Grizzlies (AAA) during the 1999 season after working two years at San Jose (A) and one year at Bellingham (Rookie). Groeschner has also worked in the Arizona Fall League covering the Scottsdale Scorpions during the 1998 season. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina in 1995. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and licensed in the State of Arizona and Illinois. Groeschner, his wife Aimee, and Daughters Katie and Karmyn, reside in Mesa, AZ.
- Mark Gruesbeck

- College Attended: Central Michigan University(B.S.)
- Years in MLB: 4
- Mark Gruesbeck, 38, begins his fifth season as assistant athletic trainer for the Giants. Gruesbeck served as an assistant Athletic Trainer for the Major League club in 2004, and served as the minor league coordinator in 2005 and 2006. Gruesbeck will be beginning his seventeen season in baseball, and twelfth with the Giants organization. Prior to his tenure with the Giants, Gruesbeck spent five seasons in the Detroit Tigers minor league system at various levels. Gruesbeck has also spent time with the Hawaii Winter League in 1996, and the Arizona Fall League in 2003. A graduate of Central Michigan University in 1993, with a B.S. degree in Sports Medicine and a minor in Exercise Science. Gruesbeck and his wife Cristin reside in Cave Creek, Arizona.
- Ben Potenziano

- Position: Strength & Conditioning Coach / Assistant Athletic Trainer
- College Attended: Univ. of Maine at Farmington & University of Main at Orono(B.S.) (M.Ed.)
- Years in MLB: 6
- In his 10th season with the Giants, and sixth at the Major League Level, Ben Potenziano returns as the Assistant Athletic Trainer/ Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. He also served as the Rehabilitation Coordinator in 2003. Potenziano has previously served as Head Athletic Trainer in the San Francisco system at short-season Bellingham (1995), single San Jose (1996), double-A Shreveport (1997-98) and the club’s affiliate in the Arizona Rookie League (2003). A graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington and the University of Maine at Orono, where he served as a graduate assistant. Potenziano also spent two years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Maine. Potenziano and his wife Erika, reside in Chandler, Ariz., and have two children, Olivia and Benjamin.
